Firestick Privacy Settings Guide

Your Firestick collects usage data by default. Here is how to review and limit what is tracked.

Firestick Privacy Settings Guide

What Amazon collects

Firestick collects app usage data, viewing history, voice search recordings, and device diagnostics by default.

Turn off usage data collection

Settings > Preferences > Privacy Settings > Device Usage Data — turn off. This stops Amazon from collecting usage data for recommendations.

Turn off interest-based ads

Settings > Preferences > Privacy Settings > Interest-Based Ads — turn off. This limits ad tracking.

Manage voice recordings

Settings > Preferences > Privacy Settings > Manage Voice Recordings. You can review and delete voice recordings.

Use a VPN for privacy

A VPN encrypts your internet traffic so your ISP cannot see what you stream. It does not hide your activity from Amazon, but it does prevent ISP tracking.
