Firestick Won't Turn On: How to Fix It

If your Firestick will not turn on or shows no signal, try these fixes in order.

Firestick Won't Turn On: How to Fix It

Check the power source

Make sure the Firestick is using the original power adapter, not a USB port on your TV. USB ports often do not provide enough power for Firestick.

Check the HDMI connection

Remove and reinsert the Firestick into the HDMI port. Try a different HDMI port. Check if your TV is set to the correct input.

Check the remote

Replace remote batteries. Point the remote directly at the Firestick. Try pressing any button and wait 30 seconds.

Try a different TV

If possible, plug the Firestick into another TV to see if the issue is the Firestick or the TV.

Factory reset via remote

If the Firestick is on but the screen is blank, try holding the Back and Right buttons on the remote for 10 seconds to enter recovery mode.

Contact support

If none of these work, the Firestick may be defective. Contact Amazon support if under warranty.
