Voice search with Alexa

Press and hold the microphone button to search for content, open apps, or control playback with your voice.

Home button shortcuts

Press Home once to go home. Press and hold Home to open the app switcher and close background apps.

Rewind and fast forward

Use the left/right buttons to skip 10 seconds. Press and hold for faster skipping. Some apps support more precise controls.

Menu button

The menu button (three lines) opens context menus in many apps. Use it for settings, subtitle toggles, and playback options.

Remote not working

If your remote is unresponsive, try replacing the batteries, unpairing and re-pairing (hold Home + Menu for 10 seconds), or using the Fire TV app on your phone as a temporary remote.
