Firestick Parental Controls Guide

If you share your Firestick with children, here is how to restrict content and lock apps.

Firestick Parental Controls Guide

Set up a PIN

Settings > Preferences > Parental Controls > turn on. Set a 5-digit PIN. This PIN will be required to purchase or rent content.

Restrict app purchases

With parental controls on, you will need the PIN to install apps from the Amazon App Store. This prevents accidental purchases.

Block mature content

Parental controls let you set content ratings. Content above your set rating will require the PIN to play.

Lock specific apps

Firestick does not have built-in app locking, but you can use third-party app lockers from the App Store to password-protect specific apps.

Monitor viewing

Check Settings > Preferences > Recently Used to see what has been watched on your Firestick.
